AH life One minute youre Telling youre wife that the slow plitocin induced birth of youre son wouldnt make for very interesting TV, the next.......

"HHmmm his head is still too high to break you're water,I think we'll give another shot at about two o clock", thats what the nurse said at twelve twenty, five minutes before she broke Cheryls water with the screw-into-the-head baby monitor thingy.Remember the heart monitors in old movies and on TV.They had that blue line that beeped untill tragedy hit and eeeeeeeeeeeeeee flat line, the new fangled ones ar'nt like that, they look more like a lie detector print out. There is a blue section in the center of the readout that shows the accepable range of the babys heart rate,Jacks left the safty of the blue, and didnt come back.Below the blue section is a white section, untill the heart rate being monitored passes into it, the it goes red.Now this has the same efect as the flate line noise on the staff of nurses helping birth Jack.Every one basicly freaks, they tell me to get out of the way as they begin to roll cheryl out the door as she's face down on all fours with a nurse on the bed behind her with her hand about a foot up.. yeah, it was a scean. So i go into my typicle emergancy mode, frozen like a statue. Some lady ,I think she was a reseptionist, led me to a locker room and had me dress in scrubbs.I called my mom,she started praying. As I enterd the room Cheryl was being straped down to a table about the width of her body by a black strap just above her knees.I nelt down on the floor next to her face.Because of the surgikle mask i was wearing,I couldnt even say any thing to comfort her as they doctors put that orangeish brown stuff on her belly. You know the orange stuff that means this is where we are going to slice youre wife open.Up came the blue curtian. Now its just Me and Cheryl, eyes locked, wiating, then the sound of jacks amazing first cry,and a man on the other side of the blue says "oh thank God".I cryed for the first time at the birth of one of my childeren. THen I watched them take a bloody Jack to a table and clean him up. I told Cheryl he was fine.Igot up and went over to him, they swadled him and brought him to cheryl, who any one could see was desprate to hold him, but had to settle for kissing him as a nurse heald his face to hers. The nuse siad they needed to take him to the nursery for about two hours,I could see cheryls heart break in her eyes, she aske if I could stay with Jack the whole time and they said I could. So I left Cheryl straped to an operating table, crying ,I squeezed her hand and followed my boy to the nursery. An hour and a half latter Cheryl got to hold Jack at last, you wouldve cry'd to , I bet.

" O R They?"
