I finally watched V for Vendetta tonight over at Joe Patton's house. Robert was there it's always good to see him and I went with Kenny. The movie was about as good as it could have been, which is to say it was really freakin good, not as good as the book but good. Natalie Portman in the pink Bo Peep outfit is worth the price of admission alone. Watch the movie then borrow the book from me.

Interesting. I enjoyed both but I thought the movie was better. Partially because it had to be pared down to the bare bones so it was more focused and streamlined and partially because the book was really one of Moores very first pieces and it showed that he was still feeling his way around trying to hone his craft, whereas the directors are much further along n their game. Still, they were both better than most of what they're up against in their mediums.
Oh, and thanks for the heads up on the Bo Peep outfit. I was considering wearing that up camping this weekend, and now I can see that it would be unwise. I'd always feel that you were looking at me that way...
Curiously enough, when I met my wife she was wearing a Bo Peep outfit. Maybe that's where it all went wrong.
